Our values

At the Social Security Tribunal (SST), we’re committed to providing Canadians with an appeal process that’s simple, quick and fair.

  • Access to justice
We’re making the appeal process easier and reducing barriers that people face when seeking access to justice. Find out how we track our initiatives to improve access to justice at the SST. Read more about our A2J vision.
  • SST Member Code of Conduct
The Code of Conduct for Members of the Social Security Tribunal of Canada describes what we expect of our members. It lists the standards of behaviour that members have to follow as fair and impartial decision makers.
  • Values and ethics of the public service
Read about diversity and employment equity, official languages, and other values of the public service. These are important values for SST leadership, members and staff.
