Charter challenge notice
Complete this form if you want to argue that a law has violated your rights under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms opens a new window (Charter), so the law doesn’t apply to your appeal. This type of argument is called a Charter challenge. Your Charter challenge will be part of your appeal before the Social Security Tribunal (SST).
You need to give the SST written notice that you want to argue that your rights under the Charter have been violated. Section 1(1) of the Social Security Tribunal Regulations, 2022 opens a new window requires that you send in this notice.
