Employment Insurance Appeals Consultative Committee

On September 29, we held our first Employment Insurance Appeals Consultative Committee. This virtual event brought together 21 external stakeholders in the field of Employment Insurance appeals from across Canada.

Like our Income Security Appeals Consultative Committee, the focus of this new committee is to consult stakeholders, and seek feedback and ideas on how we can better manage the appeal process.

We discussed a new Code of Conduct for Tribunal members and a process for making complaints, two elements that support our commitment to transparency and accountability.

We look forward to hearing more from our stakeholders and building new stakeholder relationships.
