Updates to our Rules

We’ve updated the Social Security Tribunal Rules of Procedure opens a new window to be clearer about the application of particular Rules such as filing arguments after a deadline, rescheduling a hearing, and asking for the translation of documents.

In December 2024, we consulted on these proposed changes to our Rules of Procedure. In March 2025, we finalized the changes taking into account that feedback. Please consult the Canada Gazette II posting opens a new window for more details.
